| In the presence of guests of honour and in an ambience dedicated to 'light', Jerôme Lambert inaugurated Switzerland's first Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique in a prime position at 2, Rue du Rhône in Geneva(Switzerland). We have entrusted the management to a long-standing partner, Les Ambassadeurs,” Lambert explained in his welcoming speech. Boris Othenin-Girard, the Director of the boutique in Geneva, will head a team of professionals dedicated to the brand along with a watchmaker to ensure total service. Several timepieces were on display along with a watchmaker to explain and illustrate via his binocular microscope the intricacies of Jaeger-LeCoultre's double tourbillon.
The elegant and at the same time stylish Geneva boutique follows the establishment of boutiques in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

| At the beginning of the 1930s, British officers in the Indian army challenged Jaeger-LeCoultre to create such a watch that was sufficiently robust to support knocks and survive during the polo match. The Reverso legend was thus born. More than seventy years later, the brand continues to be associated with this sport.
For the second year running, Jaeger-LeCoultre sponsored the Geneva Polo Masters at the end of August on the luxurious field of the Polo Club of Veytay in Mies, in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland.
The watchmanufacture also offered visitors a privileged view of the Master Compressor.

| To house the first automatic chronograph calibre ever created by its manufacture, Jaeger-LeCoultre has chosen a very sporty Master Compressor Watch line. Everything has been done in this new movement to optimize reliability, endurance and shock resistance. The new automatic chronograph movement features 28,800 vibrations per hour driven by a column wheel escapement, and a working reserve of 72 hours thanks to its double barrel. |  |

Because of the vertical coupling in place of the usual lateral device, the seconds hand starts instantaneously with no vacillation. In case of shock, the vertical coupling does not cause any undesirable time variations.
Offering additional protection against shocks, the inertia of the large balance is regulated by four adjustable screws on the felloe of the balance and the spiral is soldered by laser. On the technical side, the compression keys of the preceding models of the first Master Compressor line have been replaced by compression pushbuttons, which avoids all unintentional manoeuvres.
This resistant movement requires a case of the same quality. To avoid shocks and vibrations passing to the movement, the titanium case of the Master Compressor Extreme World Chronograph has a revolutionary system of shock absorption.
In addition to showing the hours and minutes, this powerfully designed watch with contrasting lines of colour displays chronographic functions, a power reserve indicator, and a large date as well as the world's time zones thanks to a disc connected to a two-armed hand that makes one rotation every 24 hours.
The white,red and black Master Compressor Chronograph provides not just chronographic functions, but also has a very readable tachymeter that, combined with solidity and overall hardiness of the case and movement, makes it the choice instrument for all those who are impassioned by the measure of speed.
